Marketing for contractors who'd rather be on the job

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers, GCs. Orange County and the rest of Southern California.

Most contractors I talk to in Orange County are great at the work and have a website that makes them look worse than they are. A template from years ago, a logo the truck wrap guy threw in, a Google listing nobody has touched since it was made. The jobs still come in, from referrals, from Yelp, from a neighbor who saw the van. That part works. What I do is make the rest of it work just as hard.

  • Who this is for

Trades and contractors with a real business behind them: a crew or two, a few trucks, more work than you can quote, and no one in the office whose job is marketing. Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, painting, landscaping, pool, solar, general contracting. If someone calls you to fix or build something at their house or their business, this is for you.

  • What I actually do for a trade

Not everything on my services page. The handful of things that get a contractor more calls from the right people, done properly once.

    • A website that loads fast on a phone in a truck, says what you do and where, shows real jobs, and makes the call button impossible to miss.
    • Your Google Business Profile set up and filled out the way Google wants it, so you show up on the map when someone in Irvine or Anaheim searches for what you do.
    • A logo and a look that holds up on the truck, the shirt, the yard sign, the invoice and the website, all at once, instead of five slightly different versions.
    • Photos and short video of real work, shot on site, so you stop using stock pictures of a smiling model in a hard hat.
    • The pages Google needs to rank you for each service and each city you cover, written like a person wrote them.
    • A simple way to ask for reviews after every job, because that is what actually moves you up the map.
  • Why one person instead of an agency

The marketing agencies that chase contractors sell a monthly package and hand your account to whoever is free. You pay for a team and get the junior. With me you get one person, the same one every time, and that person spent two years running marketing inside a brand team at a multinational food company before doing this. The standards come from there. The prices do not.

Everything is a fixed price, quoted up front, and it does not move unless the scope does. No hourly, no retainer unless you want one. You can start with one thing, usually the website or the Google listing, and decide from there.

  • What it looks like to start

A call, twenty minutes, where you tell me how work comes in now and what you wish was different. I come back within a day with a scope and one price. If it is a yes, most trade websites are live inside a few weeks, and I do not disappear after launch. I am in Orange County, so if you would rather talk in person at the shop, that works too.
